Impressive statistics…
With all the mining projects currently under development in Quebec, Canada would become one of the world’s major producers.
China largely dominates the production of graphite in the world with nearly 700,000 tons per year, followed by Brazil with 96,000 tons. And Canada represents an annual production of 12,000 tons according to Natural Resources Canada in 2020. The other players on the international market are India, Mozambique, Madagascar, Russia, Ukraine and Norway, to name only the countries that produce more than 15,000 tons per year. As for recognized reserves, Turkey, China and Brazil are at the top of the list with, respectively, 90 million, 73 million and 72 million tons of this same ore.
